Welcome to The Reading Room

If you know me, you know I like to dig a little deeper. I want to know what’s in the products I’m using, where they come from, how they affect our homes and our bodies, and what happens to them after they go down the drain or into the trash.

The Reading Room is where I’ll share some of the articles, research, resources, and interesting bits of information I’ve scoured and collected along the way. You’ll find information about the products we carry at Whiskers & Wings, the ingredients in them, and why I’ve chosen them for the refillery. You’ll also find plenty of information about refilleries in general, reducing waste, reusing what we already have, recycling, and simple ways we can be a little kinder to this beautiful planet we call home.

I’m a big believer in knowing what I’m bringing into my home and making my own decisions from there. I don’t expect anyone to change everything overnight, and I certainly haven’t either. But I do believe that when we know more, we can make better choices when and where we can.

So grab a cup of tea, pull up a chair, wander through the shelves, and do a little digging of your own.
